ART OF ITALY XVII AND XVIII CENTURIES
The church influenced art rather considerably. Spain was so much flooded by monks, church ceremonies and traditions that have taken roots in a life, and inquisition was so vigilant, that painting simply could not exist besides churches and monasteries. However here appeared an image of the seducer, ardent Don Juane, the infringer of church interdictions.
Matter not only in that thing that the church gave artists orders, dictated themes and much forbade (for example, the image of female nakedness was under interdiction). Simply the devotion which has remained from the Middle Ages was inherent in Italians and in painting it has affected.
