REVIVAL IN GERMANY
Germany in XV century was the typical medieval country divided into set of dwarfish princedoms (курфюршеств). Dissociation in it was not overcome, as in other countries, and amplified. The culture of German cities in XV century too remained medieval. In it all characteristic lines of a late gothic style were found out. The architecture was still Gothic, but its Gothic shape became more external. Constructions of business appointment, not so requiring the union with the fine arts began to prevail. Painting and a sculpture gradually kept away from architecture. Frescos almost have absolutely disappeared. Gravestones and altars were the main places of application of the fine arts. Some trends got into painting from Italy and especially from the Netherlands.
